Community-based planner, policy enthusiast, and urban designer focused on innovative housing solutions, equitable disaster recovery, and climate change adaptation with over 10 years of work experience. My work emphasizes the tension between housing, inequality, and disaster recovery.
In my policy and planning practice I employ spatial analysis, feasibility studies, and deep stakeholder engagement to help communities plan for themselves in the face of overlapping crises and historic marginalization. Guided by the principle of working together in solidarity and mutuality, my work explores urban planning processes that support and buoy those who are already doing the on-the-ground planning for their own communities. I am interested in the decentralization of power, institutions and planning processes — and its impact on social, economic, and environmental transformation towards equity and justice.
Since coming to Pratt in the fall of 2021 my work has shifted to focus on addressing the stages of disaster planning, creating projects that address underlying inequities and strengthen communities instead of continuing to repeat cycles of dispossession and extraction. My thesis work focuses on addressing the ongoing NYC housing and migrant crisis through the use of modular housing as a strategy to catalyze the conversion of publicly owned vacant land to deeply affordable permanent housing.
In addition, I'm a seasoned architectural designer with over 10 years experience in the field. Among other passions, I specialize in tailored interior design, technical construction drawing, and meticulous project management.
My website is currently under construction, so please drop me a message if you’d like to collaborate or see more current samples of my work.
